Bill Murray Stars as Steve Bannon on 'SNL' Cold Open

The sketch began with Kate McKinnon and Alex Moffat reprising their creepy/sexy sendup of a smoldering - if conflicted - Mika Brzezinski and constantly interrupting Joe Scarborough of MSNBC's "Morning Joe".

In the skit, Armisen shares one of the stories that didn't make it into the final cut of his book. Trump would ask to have two babies placed in his office, usually of different races.

Asked by the "Morning Joe" hosts if his story is truthful, Armisen's Wolff responds: "You read it, right?"

Saturday Night Live returns for its first episode of 2018 and of course, they had to poke fun at President Donald Trump's controversial comments about several countries across the globe in their cold open.

Wolff and Bannon confronted each other over Fire and Fury, and how much of the book is true - and how will Bannon pass the time now that he's out of a job with Breitbart.

As for his future, Bannon said he's working "on a web series for Crackle, called Cucks in Cars Getting Coffee". New ventures for "The Bannon Cannon" include a skincare line called Blotch and a line of "wrinkled bar jackets" called Frumpers.

Then Bill Murray made a surprise cameo as former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon. "But I'm different from Donald Trump because I'm actually a billionaire".

Closing the segment out was a satanical Oprah Winfrey to play off the speculation that she could run for president in 2020. Wolff wrote in a column for The Hollywood Reporter: "The nature of the comedy, it was soon clear, was that here was a group of ambitious men and women who had reached the pinnacle of power, a high-ranking White House appointment - with the punchline that Donald Trump was president. Trump would say, 'A thousand bucks on the black one, '" he said.
