Dana White Confirms CM Punk Will Receive Another Fight in the UFC

Conor McGregor

It has been officially confirmed that Conor McGregor will no longer be UFC Lightweight champion this coming April after the UFC chief Dana White announced that the victor of the upcoming contest between Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov will named as the new UFC lightweight champion. The ramification if it was the full undisputed belt is that the UFC would be stripping Conor McGregor of his lightweight title, the second title they'd take off of him in as many years.

Whatever the case, Khabib Nurmagomedov has some interesting ideas if he wins.

And while things most certainly did not play out like that, it could well be said that this latest setback to Dana's plans will allow the lightweight champion Conor McGregor to gain even more leverage in his ongoing negotiations with the UFC brass. "I'm gonna beat Tony and I'm gonna say to Conor, 'Hey, you have to go into the [contender] line, ' because you have to deserve this".

"I would see a high likelihood of one of them pulling out before the fight happens", he continued. "But let's assume both get through the training camps, both are healthy and the fight happens and it's five rounds". I am 25-0 at 155. He wants one more. "So, I'm going to give him another shot". Apparently, however, Nurmagomedov is more interested in his legacy than his bank balance. I can make money with other stuff in Russian Federation, like a lot of money.

Now, at the end of the day, if Nurmagomedov does defeat Ferguson, and McGregor wants to fight the vaunted grappler, this fight will happen. "Tony Ferguson, for my opinion, he's real champ, and I'm gonna smash this guy". Personally, I'd welcome him back to the WWE as soon as possible.
