'Game of Thrones' - Peter Dinklage Talks Timing for Final Season

Actor Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) says it's the flawless time for the series to end.

"Sometimes shows stay on a little too long, the jumping-the-shark thing", he said, according to Daily Express.

Peter Dinklage who plays Tyrion Lannister on the show has said "it's time" for the show to end, before it "jumps the shark".

After nearly a decade on air, Dinklage is certainly right to say that Game of Thrones should end. "Storywise, not just for all our lives".

"Game of Thrones" eighth season has already begun filming, and while fans still have a long time to wait, there have been hints on what to expect from the final season.

Game of Thrones has been a critically acclaimed ratings behemoth for seven seasons now.

"It's bittersweet when it's time to move on with everything". He went from Lannister royalty to the Hand of the King for the most hated character of all, Joffrey Baratheon, to a fugitive father-killer, and finally Hand of the Queen to Daenerys Targaryen.

Former "Game of Thrones" actor Jason Momoa recently visited the set and told Entertainment Weekly that the upcoming season will be the greatest thing that has ever aired on TV.

"It's bittersweet when it's time to move on with everything", Dinklage, who can now be seen on a big-screen in New Zealand in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, said. He also described the process of leaving the cast and crew of Thrones, with whom he's spent months at a time on location as "heartbreaking".

Adding, "it's the final season, and it's a long one so we're taking our time".

If you're a fan of Game Of Thrones, and let's face it - who isn't, you will be more than aware that when it returns for its eighth season in 2019, it will be the last.
