Is New England Patriots QB Tom Brady 'One Of Us?'

Brady said nearly nothing about the injury in the days leading up to Sunday's AFC Championship Game, even wearing gloves on both hands during practices and at a media availability to avoid having anyone see them.

The stitches in his hand seemed to have no negative impact on Brady. He refused to say how many stitches it required, but he acknowledged there was concern.

"Yeah, it's pretty incredible", said Brady, who sustained a cut right hand last week in practice and ran onto the field at Gillette Stadium wearing a piece of black tape over the 10-stitch gash.

If you thought it was a bunch of hoopla over nothing, and that Brady would suit up for Sunday's game all along, well, the quarterback said that wasn't the case.

"Of all the plays, my season wasn't going to end on a handoff in practice".

The Eagles and Patriots are arguably the most hated sports teams in the Big Apple and they're fans know it.

Brady led the Patriots back from two scores down in the second half to secure his eighth and the team's 10th appearance in the Super Bowl.

As in any victorious effort, Brady got plenty of help. He wore a piece of black tape that wrapped up his thumb.

"Listen for Brady to be injured with his hand and the outcome, not going to lie, it surprised everybody and that's why we here now". It didn't look good there for a little bit, but fortunately, Thursday, I didn't practice, I took some time off. Friday, did just a little bit and things kind of felt a lot better on Saturday and [Sunday] I was just able to kind of do what I needed to do.

Church also was stand-up about his hit on Gronkowski.

"He's made so many big catches", quarterback Tom Brady said.

"This team, having Gronk [Rob Gronkowski] go out and having [Danny] Amendola step up like that", Kraft said. "Every play, I'm competing my tail off to try to win the route, win the block or whatever my job is on that play". Whoever's in the game, whoever is fighting beside me I have a lot of trust and faith in them. "And he made it happen. The game is never over after the halftime, and you've got to go to the end". On a third-and-18 from the Patriots' 25, Brady threw a 21-yard pass to Danny Amendola, and on the next play, the Patriots ran a flea-flicker and Brady connected with Philip Dorsett for 31 yards to the Jacksonville 23. While some people won't like that the Patriots are back in the Super Bowl for the third time in four years, having the Patriots involved will be better for ratings than the Jaguars would have been.

The Philadelphia Eagles have a chance to win their first Super Bowl title in franchise history and first championship overall since the 1960 season.

Philadelphia is listed as the underdog heading into the Super Bowl, which is February 4 in Minneapolis, but that's nothing new for the Eagles. John Elway is second with five.

Salmons and Bogdanovich both expect a close game.
