PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) passes 3 million players on Xbox One

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) passes 3 million players on Xbox One

At the end of 2017, PUBG hit three million concurrent players and simultaneously announced it has banned 1.5 million cheaters since Early Access launch last March.

The game has been breaking records ever since it came out and even managed to pass a million players in the first 48 hours on Xbox One. Developer PUBG Corp says each test server will be given 100,000 BP and six Early Bird keys-"the new unified PUBG crate key that can open Desperado and Gamescom crates"-so that players can easily test the new crates and their contents". More wins translates to more BP, which in turn translates to items which have a real world value on the Steam Marketplace or PUBG online gambling halls where players bet items. Watch my replays. Sort it out, the game is ruined, stop just thinking about making money all the time. Some players report enjoying the occasional game with players from other cultures. Despite PUBG Corp/Bluehole apologising for the bug, replies have been littered with angered fans demanding that Chinese servers be region locked due to the majority of cheaters apparently residing there according to PUBG creator, Brendan "PlayerUnknown" Greene in an interview with Kotaku. The feature was limited to Asia, Korea, and other regions in PUBG. China is a big market for gaming and has likely boosted the sales of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds immensely.

As part of the update, developer Bluehole has rewarded players with BP that was incorrectly issued at launch. However, this does not seem to be the case. This solution is one that updated just a few days ago with PUBG Corp saying that "combating cheaters is one of our highest priorities at the moment". While this should help in determining who is and who isn't cheating in PUBG, the complaints continue to mount. "See you in-game, The PUBG Development and Community Team". This is because PUBG has loot boxes, and China has more strict regulations when it comes to those.
