Most leaks point to the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S9 at the MWC 2018, however accurate pricing details are not known yet.
If true, the Galaxy X would be Samsung's newest smartphone offering to come with such technology.
If this box is to be trusted, it shows that the Galaxy S9 will be more of an evolution than a revolution. According to this retail box, the Samsung Galaxy S9 will feature a 5.6-inch Quad-HD+ Super AMOLED display that will have rounded corners we saw on last year's Galaxy S8 and S8+. We can expect an upgraded camera and systems, face detection and possibly a fingerprint scanner on the rear of the phone.
It is confirmed that Samsung Display announced its goal which is to mass-produce foldable panels at the end of this year. Curiously there's no mention of Samsung's 18.5:9 aspect ratio Infinity Display brand, which seems a little odd as it has been keen to throw that branding around as much as possible with other recent devices where it has been present. On the camera front, the smartphone is expected to sport a 12-megapixel Dual Pixel camera with OIS which will be able to switch from an F1.5 to F/2.4 aperture and vice-versa.
Samsung Galaxy S9 box reveals specs of the upcoming flagship
Other specs and features that were nearly certain anyway include an iris scanner, 4GB RAM, 64GB of storage, IP68 water and dust resistance and wireless charging support.
Samsung set up a private exhibition room at CES 2018 in order to introduce its foldable Smartphones for only VIP customers and shared specifications and release date of foldable Smartphones. Since the design will likely stay more or less the same as the Galaxy S8, chances are Samsung may use a setup similar to how a certain HTC U11 offers, meaning, the earpiece would double as a secondary speaker.
Owners could also be treated to speakers and headphones tuned by AKG and 64GB of internal memory.
