Teen Titans Go! to the Movies Trailer: Titans Head to Hollywood

Teen Titans Go! to the Movies

The Titans are the latest DC Comics heroes to make the jump to the big screen in animation: several members of the Justice League appeared in The LEGO Movie and its spinoff, The LEGO Batman Movie.

Warner Bros, DC Entertainment, and Cartoon Network have released the first teaser trailer for their animated feature TEEN TITANS GO! It seems to the Teens that all the major superheroes out there are starring in their own movies-everyone but the Teen Titans, that is! In addition to Menville, the entire cast from the show reprises their roles, including Robin's bubbly space-girlfriend Starfire (Hynden Walch) goth/emo half-demon Raven (Tara Strong) buff robot Cyborg (Khary Payton) and lackadaisical animal morpher Beast Boy (Greg Cipes). To The Movies, hitting theaters this July.

Based on the highly-successful show Teen Titans Go! on Cartoon Network, this movie follows the titular superhero team, who are yet to have their own movie, setting off to (what else?) get one made for them!

The group's manic leader Robin (Scott Menville), of Batman and Robin fame, wants to step out of the Dark Knight's shadow and be seen as more than just a sidekick. "And much like the Teen Titans themselves, I thought they deserved their own movie". As a successor to the original Teen Titans show, the newer incarnation is much more light-hearted, as its 11-minute episodes focus more on whimsy, song and other things that have proven to be highly divisive amongst DC fans. The film will see Slade as the film's main foil who interrupts the team's dreams for stardom in his quest for world domination. Apart from Arnett and Weitzman, all are "Teen Titans GO!" series contributors. It's directed by Aaron Horvath and Peter Rida Michail, and here's the first trailer. Here is a rundown of some of our most anticipated 2018 projects.
