Tiger Zinda Hai: Salman Khan starrer rock-steady at the Box Office

The film, which released on December 22, has so far garnered more than Rs 280 crore at the domestic box office. With 360 crores (gross) coming from India and another 104 crores (gross) coming from the overseas market, the worldwide gross collections of Tiger Zinda Hai after a 12 days stands at whopping 464 crores. All eyes are now set on Tiger Zinda Hai's lifetime collections which can easily surpass Salman's previous records of Bajrangi Bhaijaan (Rs 320.34 cr) and Sultan (Rs 300.45) respectively. The spy thriller, which opened on a great note at the ticket windows, is inching towards Rs 300-crore club. The movie easily crossed Rs 100 crore at the box office on the first weekend of its release.

But the movie's collection took a dip on day 13 due to the Maharashtra Bandh called by Dalit groups. The two have earlier worked together in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan in 2011 and six years later, they are back with Tiger Zinda Hai, which is dhoommachoing at the box office.

TZH is inspired by the real-life incident of the rescue of Indian nurses held hostage in Iraq by terrorists and at the helm of affairs of the mission is Indian RAW agent Tiger (Salman Khan). However, this does not mean the film has lost its chances of being Salman's highest grosser ever. "This is my second film with Ali Abbas Zafar, and I am looking forward to working with him again", the actor stated. With its promise of big-budget thrills and adventure, Tiger Zinda Hai can be seen giving thrilling performances.
