Cavs ban fan who racially taunted Spurs guard Patty Mills

Cleveland Cavaliers security officials are attempting to identify the man who yelled "Jamaican dog" at Australian San Antonio Spurs guard Patty Mills during an National Basketball Association game.

Following San Antonio's 110-94 win over the Cavs on Sunday, Mills reacted to the incident on Twitter with a statement.

Update: The Cavaliers have identified the fan in question who made the comments and banned him from games indfefinitely, with a review to come in one year, according to reporter Dave McMenamin.

Hours after the game, Mills quote tweeted the user who shared the video saying, "Thanks @thats_Z_Truth".

"I've found how important it is for me to be a role model for indigenous Australians", Mills said. "Jamaica just called, they want their bobsledder back".

That was the racist heckling directed at Spurs baller Patty Mills Sunday at The Q. while he was at the free-throw line at the end of a blowout win over the Cleveland Cavs.

Mills is a native of Australia, and his father is a Torres Strait Islander and mother is an Aboriginal Australian.

Mills, who was born in Australia and whose parents are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, responded to a video of the incident on twitter, "I am a proud Islander".

"I think it's fair to say that I've been called a lot worse", Mills said (via KSAT).
