Hillary Clinton: Trump has 'affinity for dictators'

Democrats’ 2018 Election Dreams Could End Up a Nightmare

Hillary Clinton took her worldwide excuses tour to a new low over the weekend; telling a packed audience at a conference in India that "white women" overwhelmingly voted for Donald Trump simply because their husbands forced them to.

"Make America Great Again" was looking backwards", she told attendees at India Today: Conclave 2018.

Clinton offered some rather unvarnished remarks in India this weekend that sound a lot like her "deplorables" commentary from September 2016.

Two-time failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton on Saturday said that Donald Trump's 2016 campaign was about black people losing their rights and opposing women.

"Well, we'll find out, we'll find out", Clinton said.

Clinton took a bitter tone as she talked about the electoral map and the various regions of the United States that voted for her and Trump.

It's hard not to read Clinton's comments as an argument that her votes were more valuable - or at least more productive - than were Trump's. "You know, 'You didn't like black people getting rights? What does that mean?" she said. "Whatever your problem is - I'm going to solve it".

She made clear later in the discussion that she did not know where the special counsel's investigation into Russian election meddling and possible coordination with Trump's team is likely to lead.

"I think most voters want a president who keeps her cool, who is calm and composed, and doesn't get thrown off her game, or get upset, or get angry, or, Heaven forbid, emotional", Clinton recalled thinking onstage at the time.

"Trump does have quite an affinity for dictators", Clinton said.
