Balochistan: 2 Christians Killed in Pakistan Shooting

Ms. Allomia ul Raj, Christian Lawyer and Human Rights Activist has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Christian Worshipers when they were leaving after attending the Sunday service at Essa Nagri Church, Quetta where two Christians dead and 5 seriously injured.

Ahmed says a young girl was among the wounded and that two others were in critical condition at a hospital.

The attack comes two weeks after four members of a Christian family were gunned down in Quetta a day after the community celebrated Easter on April 1.

The minister also assured action against the culprits, it said.

Militant groups linked to the Taliban, al Qaeda, and Daesh have been involved in various cases of violence in Balochistan, with Daesh having created branches in Pakistan and Afghanistan in recent years mostly by recruiting among established militants.

The police said search was ongoing in the area to apprehend the perpetrators of the attack.

Last December, nine people were killed and 30 injured in a suicide attack on the Bethel Memorial Methodist Church on Quetta's Zarghoon Road.

The Islamic State (IS) extremist group claimed responsibility for the attack on April 15 outside a church in the city of Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan Province.
