Chris Pratt says "divorce sucks" following his split from Anna Faris

Anna Faris

Both are seeking joint custody of their son, Jack.

"We intentionally cultivated this idea of like, 'Look at this lovely family, '" admitted the 41-year-old, adding that social media helped to spin their narrative.

Eight months after splitting from his ex-wife Anna Faris, Chris Pratt is opening up about the divorce for the first time.

In the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, Pratt opened up about how he has been dealing with the split.

Many fans were shocked when the former couple announced the split and Anna has previously spoken about how she initially felt a tinge of "anger" towards social media followers for their exaggerated reactions.

"We're finding a way to navigate this while still remaining friends and still being kind to one another", the Jurassic World star continued. "All I can say about that is, it's all true, that we truly adore each other, and we love each other, I think it still comes through".

While Pratt is not known to be dating again, Faris is now in a relationship with cinematographer Michael Barrett, who she met while filming the comedy Overboard.

Faris recently talked about her thoughts about marriage and admitted she needs to "figure out" the goal of it after both of her marriages ended in divorce.

"Divorce sucks", he told the publication.

Chris is believed to still be single, while Anna is now dating cinematographer Michael Barrett.

"What Chris and I try to do is to communicate openly", the actress explained. "For me, I'm just not quite sure where it fits".
