Daryl Worley arrested, tasered after allegedly passing out in vehicle on highway

Another Eagles off-season addition is in trouble with the law.

Officers used a taser on Worley after becoming "combative with police", according to NFL Network. Apparently Worley was found passed out in a vehicle that was blocking a highway.

A gun was also recovered at the scene of the incident.

The incident occurred near the Eagles' facility on Broad and Patterson street according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network. Observers were surprised when the Eagles were able to get him in exchange for veteran receiver Torrey Smith early this offseason; salary cap concerns made it likely the team would end up releasing Smith eventually. Worley is the second Eagles' newcomer to face potential criminal charges this offseason; in March, authorities in Texas charged defensive end Michael Bennett with harming an elderly woman at the 2017 Super Bowl.

Worley attended William Charter High School in Philadelphia before spending three years at WVU.

Worley spent two seasons with the Panthers after he was selected by them in the third round of the 2016 draft. Worley said then that he was defending his girlfriend.
