Iran's Khamenei slams 'criminals' Trump, Macron, May

Iran's Foreign Ministry on Saturday condemned the USA -led attacks on Syria and said Washington and its allies would bear responsibility for the consequences in the region and beyond, state media said.

Khamenei has harshly responded to the Syrian operation of the West Coalition, APA reports.

Now that the United States and its Western allies have retaliated for the Douma attack with missile strikes against targets in Syria, it is obvious that Iran will also pay a heavy price. "The American, French presidents and the British Prime Minister are criminal", he said.

The existing dynamic in which Russian Federation tolerates Israeli actions in Syria targeting Iranian assets does not appear to have changed; what Russian Federation seems unwilling to tolerate is Israel acting as an American proxy in order to establish US influence in Syria. "We thank them both", Trump added.

Israeli security officials said that they hoped that the head of Lebanon's Hezbollah, Hasan Nasrallah, will not be dragged into this battle if it breaks out.

The war monitor's head, Rami Abdel Rahman, said the area was known to host Iranian forces deployed in Syria to support President Bashar al-Assad's regime as well as allied Afghan fighters from the Fatemiyoun Brigade.

Zarrab has pleaded guilty and testified against Atilla for several days as the United States government's star witness.

The three countries' act of aggression against the Syrian government and nation was a practical move to strengthen terrorism in the region, he said, adding that undermining a country's national sovereignty was tantamount to creating regional instability.

The Syrian president noted that London, Paris and Washington carried out the airstrikes after they failed to achieve their goals through political means and emphasized that the strikes brought them no military achievements. While he called it a "heavy strike", he said, "Right now this is a one-time shot and I believe it has sent a very strong message to dissuade him, to deter him from doing it again".

The remarks came hours after a coordinated missile attack by the U.S., Britain and France on Syria in the early hours of Saturday over an alleged chemical attack in the Damascus suburb last week.

The Syrian government has strongly denied the allegations.
