Avenatti Expands Attack on Michael Cohen

Avenatti argued that the documents are of the "utmost public concern".

The email from Avenatti, which started with "Off the Record", was shared by Hasson a day after The Daily Caller published a story stating that Avenatti "has his own questionable history", a past "littered with lawsuits, jilted business partners and bankruptcy filings", and that people described him as "ruthless, greedy and unbothered by ethical questions".

In a 5-page filing, Daniels' attorney Michael Avenatti said Cohen's effort last week to fight Avenatti's pro hac vice admission to the Southern District of NY - and Daniels' intervention in any case that might arise there against Cohen - was "a highly improper attempt to soil Mr. Avenatti and unnecessarily lure and entangle this court into Mr. Cohen's elaborate campaign to now discredit Mr. Avenatti".

As many are already familiar with, Avenatti represents Daniels, an adult film star, in her legal battle with President Donald Trump, who she claims she had an affair with several years ago while his wife Melania was pregnant with their son Baron.

The significance of the photos was not immediately clear, but Avenatti promised that additional details would follow.

In response to the bombshell release, Cohen's lawyers sought to bar Avenatti from appearing in court in New York's Southern District, where Cohen has an ongoing case. Furthermore, Avenatti said he had a First Amendment right to publish the report about Cohen.

While both Brinkley and Avenatti are single, it is likely they bonded over President Trump. She told Porter magazine in February that Trump had offered her a ride on his private jet to Aspen, Colo., but she was dating Joel at the time and declined. Her case, recently removed to Los Angeles federal court, has been stayed pending the criminal probe of Cohen.
