DeAngelo is done: Chesapeake's DeAngelo Hall announces retirement after 14 National Football League seasons

Redskins corner De Angelo Hall

According to ESPN Reporter, John Keim, Hall said, "I'm done playing football".

In an interview Monday at the Ryan Kerrigan Leukemia Golf Classic, Hall reflected on his 14-year career, as well as what's next.

The cornerback is also infamously known across social media back in August 2015 when Houston Texans star receiver DeAndre Hopkins put Hall on skates during a joint team practice with a filthy juke move.

He spent the first four seasons of his career in Atlanta before the Falcons traded him to the Oakland Raiders in March 2008.

Hall, the eighth overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft, played 14 NFL seasons and was a three-time Pro Bowl selection. "But yeah, all the other stuff is still on the table", Hall said, via the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

Hall has 43 career interceptions (23 with the Redskins) and once picked off four passes in a 2010 game against the Chicago Bears.

Hours after Hall's comments were published, the Redskins said Monday evening on Twitter that the cornerback has not "officially made a decision to retire" yet. Derailed by injuries, Hall hasn't played all 16 games in a season since 2013.

"I've been meeting and talking with a little bit of everybody", he said. He returned five of those for touchdowns, the 31st most all-time. Oakland released Hall after he appeared in only eight games, and Washington subsequently signed him.

Hall was inducted into the Virginia Tech Sports Hall of Fame in 2016. "So that's kind of out of the question now. I still want a gold jacket, whether I can get one as an exec, a coach - I'm going to get me a damn gold jacket, believe that".
