EA Confirms Battlefield V Live Reveal for May 23, Provides Streaming Outlets

Battlefield V name confirmed as EA sets May 23 reveal

EA has revealed that Battlefield V is indeed the title of the next Battlefield game, with a reveal pencilled in for next week. More specifically, it was confirmed on Twitter by the most unlikely of people - late-night TV show host Trevor Noah.

How to watch Battlefield V reveal event live?

At this time, not much information is known about the next game.

A Battlefield 1 Easter egg that was discovered last week pointed a very big finger toward a Battlefield announcement of some sort on May 23.

"The next chapter of EA DICE's groundbreaking all-out war saga is Battlefield V", the teaser sites says. It was codenamed as Battlefield V although the final name of the game appears to be the same as the initial leak.

It's now official! Electronic Arts will introduce the next "Battlefield" game next week. The marketing's heavy push towards "V" implies a Vietnam setting but rumors have been swirling about it taking place during World War II. Hear from DICE team members Oskar Gabrielson, the head of DICE Stockholm, Andreas Morell, senior producer, Lars Gustavsson, creative director, and Daniel Berlin, design director, as they fill you in on their Battlefield V vision. Electronic Arts acted unfazed by this push in a recent earnings call (via Seeking Alpha) where CEO Andrew Wilson suggests there are no plans to change the company's approach to microtransactions in games like FIFA, Madden, or Battlefield. However, DSOGaming is already confident that it will feature a single-player campaign. However, the rumors that the next "Battlefield" game will feature some sort of battle royale were not addressed. Moreover, it has been confirmed that War Stories are returning this year.
