Google Assistant-compatible Xiaomi smart home products arriving soon

Xiaomi might be popular with its smartphones, but it also has an in-house IoT ecosystem thanks to the booming startup industry in China.

Mi Bedside Lamp has 16 million color customizations and can be configured to fit any environment or mood. Using Wi-Fi, the Mi Smart Plug allows users to turn power on and off devices using an app or users can just ask the Google Assistant to remotely control their newly-converted smart gadgets. Some of its smart home products include the Mi Bedside Lamp, Mi LED Smart Bulb and Mi Smart Plug, all three of them soon to be available in the US. Now, the innovative Chinese company has announced the launch of its smart home products for the U.S market.

Next, the Mi LED Smart Bulb also supports 16 million colours. But what if you don't have any Xiaomi smart home products?

Xiaomi on Friday announced its selection of smart home products will now secure Google Assistant support, enabling users to control those goods utilizing Google Home smart speakers along with the Google Assistant program on tablets and smartphones. But what if you're happy with your bulbs or what to turn some of your other "dumb" appliances smart? Along with the touch-sensitive panel at the top and the Mi Home app, users can make use of the Assistant's voice control to control the lamp. With Google Assistant, you can simply turn off the light without getting out of your bed and can also control brightness and color temperature with voice commands. There's also the Mi Home app, which will let you control your products all the same.

Products like the Mi Power Bank Pro, Mi Home Security Camera, and the Mi Electric Scooter are now available in partnership with Amazon. There's now no pricing, but seeing as Xiaomi typically prices its products in the affordable range, we'd bet it'l do the same here.
