Google launches Google One: Upgrades storage, adds new features

Initially, Google One will only be available on a limited basis. However, users who want to purchase storage ranging from 100GB and 30TB now has new plans starting at $1.99 per month (Rs 134 approximately for 30 days).

Next up is a new 200GB tier for $2.99, while the $9.99 tier now gets 2TB rather than 1TB under Google One.

Storage plans will also be shareable with up to five people using family sharing.

All users of Google Drive storage plans will be upgraded to Google One automatically. The service is provided along with every Google One plan, and according to TechCrunch, in the U.S., these experts will be available 24/7 over chat, email, and phone.

Additionally, you will have access to "Google experts" for customer support, for any Google One paid tier.

Google One has now launched in the USA and it will expand globally in the next few months. Google One will pose a challenger to Apple's iCloud storage with the new pricing. With Google One, Google will introduce new features, as well as new pricing options.

Clarification: The new Google One subscription will house the files used by several Google services, not the services themselves.

Google has made significant changes to its user interface over past couple of weeks. Well, anyone who needs more cloud storage.

The company's $9.99/month 1TB storage plan, which would be obsolete in light of the 2TB plan's price cut, won't be seeing any price tweaks. Not only that, the company is also offering deals on hotel bookings and more benefits will be added over the time.

Google One is set to arrive in the coming months, but won't affect G Suite business customers.

You can sign up to receive email updates when Google One is available "in your area", which suggests the expert advice will be offered either by phone or in person. "One of the most common requests we've received is for storage plans to be sharable within a family".

If you are looking for a cloud service, which offers a robust service with an affordable price tag, then the Google One Cloud services look promising.
