Priyanka Chopra starrer Quantico gets cancelled at ABC

Terrorism drama, Quantico has finally reached its end as ABC pull the plug on the show after three seasons.

The Priyanka Chopra-led series Quantico, from ABC Studios and producer Mark Gordon, was a breakout when it debuted in fall 2015, setting delayed viewing lift records.

Quantico just returned to the air for a third season on April 26, following an busy publicity campaign by Priyanka. The May 16 season finale will now serve as the series finale.


As per a report in The Hollywood Reporter, the first episode of the third season opened to poor ratings of 0.5 and less than 3 million total viewers. The series was retooled for season 3 with new showrunner Michael Seitzman taking over for Joshua Safran.

Following this news, Kal Penn tweeted talking about collaboration on a film project. The Bollywood star - who is yet to react to the news of her show getting cancelled - replied, "Done and done". Among them are Fox's 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine, ' 'The Mick, ' Marvel series 'Inhumans, ' 'Deception, ' 'The Crossing, ' 'Designated Survivor, ' 'Lucifer, ' and 'The Last Man on Earth'. Priyanka plays the role of Federal Bureau of Investigation agent, Alex Parrish, in the series. The show also starred Josh Hopkins, Jake McLaughlin, Aunjanue Ellis, Yasmine Al Massri, Johanna Braddy, Tate Ellington, Graham Rogers, Anabelle Acosta, Russell Tovey, Pearl Thusi, Blair Underwood, Marlee Matlin and Alan Powell.
