Rihanna's Alleged Stalker Waited In Her Home for 12 Hours

Persistent! Allegedly the criminal broke into another home earlier in the month after suspecting it was the singer's abode. Above the star is seen in July 2017

In 2016 a man was investigated after sending a death threat to Rihanna and taking a selfie outside her home.

According to TMZ, 27-year old Eduardo Leon claimed to local police that he was there to have sex with the singer - and added that he had planned not to use force on Rihanna.

As creepy as that sounds, Leon was so determined to meet Rihanna, he actually broke into another home a week earlier, thinking it was the place where she was residing.

Rihanna isn't the only star to have been targeted by stalkers recently either, as fellow musician Taylor Swift's property in Beverly Hills was the subject of an attempted break-in last month.

He was also charged with one misdemeanour of resisting arrest.

Leon is accused of climbing over a fence and breaking into the house on Wednesday.

"The defendant spent about 12 hours inside the home and was arrested the next day after being discovered by the singer's assistant".

He is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday in the Foltz Criminal Justice Centre in Los Angeles, officials said.

Leon has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges and if convicted faces up to six years in prison.
