Vivo X21 UD Expected to be Launched in India on May 29

The major highlight of this Vivo X21 UD is its own under screen fingerprint scanner, which means that there is not any physical house button and consumers should simply touch a round onscreen mic instant to unlock their own smartphone.

At the back, you can see dual cameras stacked vertically in the top-left corner, with the fingerprint scanner placed in the center just above the Vivo logo. Before this month, Vivo had introduced the X21 UD at global markets, after a launching in China in March. Notably, it is one of the first few smartphones for which Google has released the Android P Beta update. For those unaware, this was Vivo's second handset to feature an in-display fingerprint sensor, the first one being Vivo X20 Plus UD.

It is not yet clear if Vivo is planning to launch both the standard version with rear-mounted fingerprint sensor or the top-end version Vivo X21 with under-display fingerprint sensor in India. The Vivo X20 Plus UD has been showcased at CES 2018 after which started in China in January, but it never made it into India. But as per speculation, Vivo is going to bring the former handset to India. Concerning pricing, the Vivo X21 UD was priced at CNY 3,598 (approximately Rs. 37,100) at China. In India, the smartphone will compete with the likes of Honor 10 and OnePlus 6 that will be launching in India in the days to come as well. The dual-SIM phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based Funtouch OS.


In terms of specifications, the Vivo X21 UD will sport a 6.28-inch display FHD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19:9.

In terms of camera capabilities, the device has a dual primary camera setup with a 12 MP RGB sensor and a 5 MP secondary depth sensor, which will enable the smartphone to achieve portrait mode photos or images with varied depth of field. It will include an internal storage of 128GB, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. Sensors on the phone include regular fingerprint sensor/ under display fingerprint sensor, gravity sensor, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and gyroscope. The phone has a battery capacity of 3200mAh which supports fast charging. Dimensions Of the telephone are 154.5×74.8×7.4mm and weight will be 156.2 g.
