Ariana Grande, Pete Davidson engaged; Looney Tunes return; Kimmel vs Ted Cruz

Ryan Mc Kenna and Ariana Grande pose for a selfie backstage at the 2018 iHeartRadio Wango Tango festival on June 2.

Now social media is abuzz at the alleged confirmation of the singer being engaged to her new flame.

The 24-year-old United States singer has been replying to fans tweeting her about rumours that she is to marry boyfriend, Pete Davidson.

Grande's boyfriend, Pete Davidson, is known for his role on the U.S. sketch show Saturday Night Live, recently got two tattoos of Ariana, with her initials on his fingers and the bunny ears logo associated with her on his neck.

There are certainly no tears to cry over this engagement ring! And now, with all 121 million of her followers' eyes on her Instagram account waiting for an official engagement announcement, she instead used the medium to announce a more business-oriented venture: her fifth official fragrance.

When one fan said "I hope he knows he is marrying us as well", Grande replied with "HAHAHAHAHAHH HES BEEN BRIEFED" (sic).

Cazzie previously shaded the relationship on Instagram when Grande and the "Saturday Night Live" star first went public with their romance, captioning a vacation photo, "Been in Africa, what'd I miss??"

The news of Grande and Davidson's engagement comes after both recently split from their exes - Ariana from rapper Mac Miller and Davidson from Cazzie, who he dated on and off for 2 years. Shortly after, it was revealed that she and Pete Davidson were dating. Video from an interview with REAL 92.3's Big Boy last week, meanwhile, shows she also rocked the enormous rock at a listening part for Kanye West and Kid Cudi's Kids See Ghosts album, but she apparently tried to keep it hidden underneath her jacket. Carly also took advantage of Instagram's fairly new GIF feature, decorating the screenshot with "cool", "social file: 404 not found", "i quit" and "cries into my burger".
