Chelsea strike with bid for Championship star as Arsenal watch on

Chelsea Transfer News Jack Grealish bid could be a win-win situation for Aston Villa

Chelsea are reportedly the latest club linked with Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish by offering the Englishman a "tempting" transfer package.

Grealish has been with Villa his entire career having joined the clubs youth ranks as a kid and he's progressed through the system to become a vital player at Villa Park in recent years.

There are reportedly a number of clubs interested in the England U21 worldwide so there shouldn't be any need to accept the offer, although the club's financial worries could dictate otherwise.

The 22-year-old was on fine form for Villa last season, featuring in 34 games across all competitions.

Arsenal need to strengthen their midfield options as Jack Wilshere is set to leave after failing to sign a new deal while Spurs are also in the market for midfield reinforcements amid speculation linking Mousa Dembele with a move to Italy.

Villa's failed pursuit of promotion has left the club with some serious financial woes and it's now looking ever more likely the midlands club will have to let go of their prized asset Grealish.

Now, Aston Villa might be in a desperate situation but they are surely not desperate enough to sell Grealish for half of his price-tag.

A £30 million fee would include the loaning of Grealish back to Villa for the 2018/19 season, as the club aim to make their promotion charge a successful one this time around.
