Cyberpunk 2077 Off-Screen Gameplay Video Shows Night City

In Cyberpunk 2077 you play as urban mercenary V

Now that everyone is returning home, many folks are wondering if, thanks to its ambitious designs and great demo, maybe Cyberpunk 2077 won't actually release for this console generation. Developer CD Projekt Red showed off the game behind closed doors with the general consensus among those who have seen it that it's further ahead in development than expected.

As you might've heard, Cyberpunk 2077 has finally been revealed at E3 2018, where the developer CD Projekt RED showcased a 50-minute demo to the press in private hands off sessions. Of course, with the studio only hoping to have the action-RPG ready to be available during the console era of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, there's always a chance that it becomes a project for the PS5 or Microsoft's next system.

Cyberpunk 2077 is now in development for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, but lacks an official launch date.

"CD Projekt has alluded to the fact before and trying to clarify exactly what formats the game will be released on involved a series of nervous questions between CD Projekt staff, unsure of what exactly they should be saying". Speaking to Game Informer on the issue, quest designer Patrick Mills wasted no time in confirming that CD Projekt Red is very much aiming to get the game released on consoles out right now.
