Nintendo announces Daemon X Machina at its E3 presentation

Nintendo is the last company to hold a major presentation at E3 this year, and it started off its Nintendo Direct with a trailer for Daemon X Machina. In the vein of the classic Armored Core series, you'll pilot a giant robotic suit of armour (known as an "Arsenal") and take on all manner of giant bosses with rockets and massive swords galore.

Daemon X Machina will come to the Nintendo Switch in 2019.

It is coming out for the Switch in 2019 from Marvelous, a publisher in Japan. It's being produced by Kenichiro Tsukuda (Armored Core 1-3), with mech designs from Shoji Kawamori (Macross) and character designs from Yusuke Kozaki (Fire Emblem Awakening/Fates, No More Heroes), as well as music from Junichi Nakatsuru (Soul Caliber) and Rio Hamamoto (Tekken). Directors Ken Awata and Ken Karube previously worked on Monster Hunter: Stories and a few other fantasy games, but this will be their first time working on something more firmly in the science fiction realm.
