Rapper XXXTentacion reportedly shot in Florida, witnesses say he appeared ‘lifeless’

According to the site, XXX was leaving the venue when a gunman approached his vehicle and shot him.

Eye witnesses heard several gunshots before the songwriter, real name Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, was rushed to hospital by paramedics on the scene.

The Broward County Fire Department told TMZ that X has been rushed to a hospital, and while eyewitness claimed the rapper had no pulse, his condition is now unknown.

An hour before that, the Sherriff tweeted that cops were "currently working an incident regarding a shooting at 3671 N. Dixie Hwy., Deerfield Beach". Eyewitnesses say he appeared lifeless with no pulse.

The Broward Sheriff's Office confirmed that police had responded to a shooting in the area, and that an adult male victim had been taken to the hospital.


XXXTentacion shot to fame with the song Look At Me, which has been streamed 81 million times on Spotify, and his debut album? reached number one on the Billboard charts. Apparently the suspects drove away in a black Dodge Journey, Chevy Tahoe, and a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Earlier Monday afternoon, a post on XXXTentacion's Instagram page said, "planning a charity event for this weekend Florida!"

No additional information was immediately available. He plead not guilty, and in March of this year was released from house arrest while awaiting trial.
