Adam Jones Attacked in Atlanta Airport

Free-agent cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones was involved in a violent altercation in which he was attacked by an employee associated with an Atlanta airport, according to a published report.

According to police, an ABM employee identified as Frank Ragin made a gesture toward Jones, who then confronted Ragin. It appears Jones and Ragin exchanged words before the pair eventually came to blows. Jones, 34, promptly removed his backpack and gave Ragin the business.

Ragin was arrested for two counts of battery, as he also hit a woman who was with Jones.

Per TMZ Sports, police added that Ragin fell to the ground after Jones defended himself. In February of the following year, he was arrested for obstruction of justice following an incident at his Georgia home. On August 25, 2006, during training camp, Jones was arrested in Murfreesboro, Tennessee for disorderly conduct and public intoxication. Jones and his companion declined medical attention while Ragin was taken to the hospital. Jones received a one year suspended prison sentence for his role in the altercation.

When he was drafted into NFL, Jones was on probation for a fight in West Virginia. Most recently, he played for the Cincinnati Bengals. The airline staffer, not the National Football League player, made first contact by attacking with a closed first, authorities claim.
