Cat-astrophic TV interview? This Polish scientist didn’t think so

Jerzy's cat climbed onto his shoulders mid-interview

Historian and scientist Jerzy Targalski sat down with Dutch news show Nieuwsuur about the controversial forced removal of Poland's top Supreme Court judge, Mashable reports.

It's a universally acknowledged truth that cats have no regard for personal space.

Last weekend, a video surfaced on Twitter of Targalski being interviewed by Dutch news show, "Nieuwsuur", about the forced removal of Poland's top Supreme Court judge, when suddenly his cat, Lisio, chose to steal the show. "Jerzy Targlaski remained completely unruffled during our interview when this happened", Bouma wrote. The orange tabby climbed up Targlaski's arm, took residence on his shoulders, waived its tail right in front of the professor's eyes, and just continued to hang around.

It's reminiscent of the time North Korea expert Robert E Kelly was interrupted by his daughter and baby son during an interview with the BBC.

Unfazed by Lisio's attention, Targalski bravely soldiers on through the interview while simply brushing the cat's tail out of his face.

The news is very bad, but this cat is very good.
