Champions League is target for record City signing Mahrez

ACTION MAN Phil Foden was among those put through their paces at the CFA today

Maguire has built on an impressive season for the Foxes with a series of equally eye-catching displays at the World Cup for England.

Record Manchester City signing Riyad Mahrez says he moved to a "big" club to win the Champions League.

Centre-back Maguire could now also find himself a man in demand as a result of his eye-catching performances during England's run to the semi-finals in Russian Federation.

Riyad Mahrez revealed Manchester City had rivals beaten before kick-off during their record-breaking season. Since the day he came to Leicester, and after the season he had last season as well, it doesn't surprise me when I see his level at the World Cup.

"I'll give my best to achieve for the club. He'll have to decide".

The Algeria forward completed a club-record £60million switch to the Etihad Stadium earlier this week.

"What they did was incredible work". I want to help this team improve and I believe that is what the manager wants'.

He said: "At home we had a good game".

"'This past month, I've seen videos going around, photos been sent to me".

I thought what City did previous year was awesome, it was unbelievable to break all those Premier League records, but I am confident about myself.

Mahrez, who was the 2016 PFA Player of the Year, nearly made the move in January but City refused to pay the Foxes' £95m asking price.

"Writing above a picture of England players applauding their supporters in Moscow, Walker tweeted: 'I'm still heartbroken and never felt so gutted".

He said: "They (City) offered and Leicester rejected the offers, but it's the past". Now I'm here now and I'm happy. "If I'd moved sooner maybe I wouldn't have been happy, I don't know".

"I am happy to be here and I have to show it". "It's a good thing".

Leicester are unlikely to allow their star performer to leave easily as they seek to build towards European football again, having finished ninth in the league last term, and already spending big to sign James Maddison and Ricardo Pereira from Norwich and Porto respectively.
