Details announced for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 multiplayer beta

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Multiplayer and Blackout Betas Revealed

Early Access will start on August 10 at 10:00 a.m. PT while an open beta will begin a day later on August 11.

The first taster for the upcoming military first-person shooter drops in August, and will give you a chance to test out the traditional multiplayer experience. The private multiplayer beta will be the first one out of the gate, kicking off early next month.

The next private beta will be available to the users of PS4 in September. To get access to the Private Multiplayer and Blackout Beta, you'll need to pre-order the game. And for every player that achieves max rank in the Beta, they will earn a Permanent Unlock Token to apply to any piece of Create-a-Class content when the game comes out.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 hits PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on October 12. This release will be available to the players from August 10 to August 13.

For the private multiplayer beta, players will fight through six maps. Game modes Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, Search & Destroy, and new mode Control will all be featured in the beta.

Which maps and modes are in the "Black Ops 4" beta?

The game will bring back the Pick 10 system for better customization.

In September as second beta will be held for the Black Ops 4 battle royale experience, Blackout. More specific details will be shared as we get closer.

The PC edition of Black Ops 4 will be available exclusively through Blizzard's Battle.net - you'll see an entry for it in the Activision section of the Battle.net launcher now.
