Google Search job hunt feature now available in the UK

The launch of the UK Google jobs search service sees an expansion of the service that's already available in the US, Spain and some areas of Africa. Google also gives you access to a wide range of filters so you can find the ideal job. Interestingly, Google isn't using LinkedIn as a source in the United Kingdom, but the company does source the majority of the jobs for its search tool in the US from Microsoft's linkedIn.

Google has Launching New Invention for so many people. Google is working with the likes of The Guardian Jobs,, Haymarket, Gumtree, The Telegraph, Reach plc's totallylegal, CV-Library and to help bridge the gap between employers and employees.

Job seekers will be able to ask Google to find "jobs near me" by searching a job title and location (left).

Naturally Google's tool is just about being able to search for vacancies in one place, and like search results you'll still have to click through to a thirdparty website to get your application in. Google shares closed lower in the US Monday, as the tech giant launched its job-hunting service in the UK. It even lets you access salary information, reviews and ratings of the employer and different options to apply for a job. Of course, it remains to be seen as to how successful Google's play in the job market space pans out, particularly given that its original aim for the USA rollout was to help "the players in the ecosystem to be more successful".

Those who have a Gmail account can also choose to receive an email alert whenever a new job match comes up, or they can tap a button to keep track of an individual job post. A huge part of this is Google's Digital Garage program, which offers training in digital skills and products, and has so far helped tens of thousands of people.
