Pokemon GO Pikachu Event COUNTDOWN Anniversary Start Time new leaked Shiny Celebi news

Niantic is celebrating its second anniversary of the hit Pokémon GO game all month.

In celebration of the game's two year anniversary, this Summer Style Pikachu will be available until July 31st. Players can also now hatch Summer Style Pichu from eggs and evolve a Summer Style Pikachu into a Summer Style Raichu. They recently announced that Squirtle with sunglasses is coming to Pokémon GO on July 8th, but it's not the only Pokémon rocking a pair of shades.

In addition to more storage space, the second anniversary also provides an opportunity to catch a new summer style Pikachu, who is sporting a straw hat and sunglasses, making an already adorable Pokemon extra adorable.

This isn't the first time a customised Pikachu has been made available to players.

If that's not enough Pikachu for you, a selection of Pikachu Fan Avatar items will be available in the store.

At long last, numerous most highly anticipated features for Pokemon Go are finally becoming a reality. Players with a Gold Pikachu Fan medal will be eligible to buy a Pikachu T-shirt or even Pikachu ears for their avatar.

"We've heard so many awesome stories from Trainers, and we can't wait for what's on the horizon", said Niantic. Those can bid their time and wait for the mythical Pokemon Celebi to teleport into the game in the near future.
