Sarah Palin claims Sacha Baron Cohen duped her for talk

Sarah Palin and Sacha Baron Cohen

After releasing video of former Vice-President Dick Cheney autographing a waterboard (with a grin, no less), Sacha Baron Cohen has been basking in the glow of promotion for his new satirical comedy series for Showtime (CraveTV in Canada).

Former Gov. Sarah Palin, R-Alaska, on Tuesday tore into British comedian and filmmaker Sacha Baron Cohen for duping her into an interview by disguising himself as a wounded veteran.

'After refusing to take our calls to help get us out of the bind they'd put us in for three days, I wrote this off as yet another example of the sick nature that is media-slash-entertainment today, ' said Palin of the experience.

Palin says she and one of her daughters were interviewed by a man - she believes to be Baron Cohen - that was heavily disguised as a fake US military veteran that was in a wheelchair.

She is challenging Baron Cohen and Showtime to donate proceeds from the show to a veterans' charity. But also, she stayed (and so did Trump, despite what he says).

Palin also said that her daughter thinks Cohen is a piece of sh*t.

The politician went on to say she thought she was being interviewed by a disabled USA veteran for a legitimate documentary.

"Sacha Baron Cohen at it again!", Drudge wrote in a now-deleted tweet. This time for CBS/SHOWTIME. Lots of tricks played. "Both Republicans and Democrats are getting caught up in the madness".

Remember when Sarah Palin was running as Vice-President in 2008?

"Who is America?" premieres on Sunday, July 15 on Showtime.

"Who is America?" is the former "Borat" star's first new show in more than a decade. Walsh says he "stopped and questioned their direction", then left as "an apparent fight broke out", clutching a glass award embossed with his name over the words "significant contributions to the state of Israel".

Meanwhile, Fox News anchor Shannon Bream had to make changes to a scheduled show from the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court due to threats from peaceful, tolerant liberals, and NBC News just can't stop with the epic screw-ups.

Official show description: "In the works over the past year, the seven-episode series will explore the diverse individuals, from the infamous to the unknown across the political and cultural spectrum, who populate our unique nation".
