This Week: Michael Cohen Signals Plan To Cooperate With Feds

A rumored impending indictment of Michael Cohen has fueled speculation over whether he might provide prosecuto

President Donald Trump's personal attorney said he's not anxious about what Michael Cohen might tell federal prosecutors, saying, "As long as he tells the truth, we're ... home free".

In an ABC News interview, Cohen explicitly said his first loyalty was not to Trump but to his family and country.

He reportedly told a friend over the phone that he did not think Trump would use a presidential pardon for him.

Cohen is awaiting a potential indictment in a criminal investigation in NY, according to CNN, and he has been under investigation due to his business dealings, but has not been charged with any wrongdoing.

Davis said in his statement that he had been following Cohen's case with "great interest" and in May, before his hiring, suggested Trump fire personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani after Giuliani claimed the president had reimbursed Cohen for the Daniels payment.

"I don't know what he has to flip over", Giuliani said of Cohen, Trump's former personal attorney, on CNN's "State of the Union". "Michael Cohen deserves to tell his side of the story - subject, of course, to the advice of counsel". "We have no reason to believe he did anything wrong. the president did nothing wrong with him", Giuliani said. "As long as he tells the truth, we're - we're home free".

"This is something he would have paid for no matter what", Giuliani said.
