Another vessel carrying US soybeans docks at China's Dalian port

The soybean crop is being hit hard by the Chinese tariffs

China alleges that "many countries have the willingness" and capacity to take over market share occupied by USA goods.

The unloading follows the departure of Peak Pegasus from the same port on Thursday after discharging its cargo of 70,000 tonnes of USA soybeans.

China's vice agriculture minister also claimed that Chinese companies had "basically stopped" importing soybeans from US farmers and would deal with the impact by finding alternative ingredients for animal feeds.

A USA cargo ship carrying soybeans from Seattle to the Port of Dalian in China has finally docked at its destination after more than a month, Reuters reported. The move marks the first shipment of USA soybeans to be accepted with a 25 percent tariff stemming from the U.S. Peak Pegasus rushed to reach China before the 25% tariff on soybeans kicked in but missed the deadline by just 30 minutes, according to some reports. That equates to about $6 million. Dalian port officials told Reuters they had not seen major backlogs since June, though.

Last Saturday, a dry cargo vessel carrying soybeans from the United States which has in recent weeks been docked off China's coast after considerable tariffs were imposed, entered the port of Dalian in northeast China.
