Arturo Vidal opens up on 'dream' move to Barcelona

Arturo Vidal

The Chile worldwide agreed a move to the Nou Camp last week and was officially unveiled as a Barca player on Monday.

Nearly as soon as he arrived in Barcelona, Arturo Vidal assured the media that he is "100% fit and in ideal physical shape to be a starter in Valverde's team".

"I am very happy".

Vidal is aiming success in the Champions League with Barcelona this season.

Vidal, 31, signed a three-year contract after Barca agreed a reported €21 million (Dh89.1m) fee with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

"I hope to help the team win a lot of titles here and I am prepared to live up to the expectations".

"I don't know if I have unfinished business with Madrid, but I do with the Champions League, which is my goal", Vidal said Monday at his presentation. Hopefully I can win three". I hope to fulfil that here.

Renowned for his combative style of play, Valverde is looking forward to welcoming Vidal to Catalonia, believing he'll bring something different to Barça's squad. "I am here to win all the trophies available and I will give everything on the pitch to achieve this." he said.

"I've still got one thing that I have to achieve in my career and that is to win the Champions League, and I hope to do so with the best team in the world", Vidal said.

"I am excited to play with Messi, Suarez, Sergio Busquets... they are all great players".

Paulinho scored a total of nine goals in La Liga and was crucial to their title-winning campaign amid heavy criticism from the fans.
