Bethenny Frankel’s ex-boyfriend found dead in Trump Tower: TMZ

Dennis Shields and Bethenny Frankel walking in Manhattan

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ they got a call just after 9 AM for an unresponsive male. The medical examiner told Fox News the man is Dennis Shields. The two have been on-and-off ever since.

Frankel and Shields were longtime friends before starting a relationship a couple of years ago. "He's supporting me - he's here, which speaks for itself".

Bethenny Frankel's ex-boyfriend has died, according to TMZ.

Now that RHONY is coming to a close, and with the reunion already having been filmed, we won't be witnessing Bethenny's reaction to the news on Bravo this season.

Co-star Ramona Singer came to Frankel's defense, at the time, stating that he was "separated" from his ex-wife. Our hearts go out to Shield's family and loved ones - including Bethenny - during this hard time.

"I've been with someone on and off for years", she said in May, according to PEOPLE. The relationship had many splits and makeups.

The Blast reports that the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in NY confirmed that Shields' body was discovered around 9 a.m. ET.

"So Dennis, how long have you guys known each other?" she asked.

She called her relationship with Shields, a NY banker, complicated during an interview with Steve Harvey in May.

The Skinnygirl founder continued, "If both people aren't happy about it but slightly uncomfortable and giving up something or giving in [to] something, it doesn't work". "I didn't say it to Dennis, but in my own mind, I said, '90 days".

"And I think we might be at that point, believe it or not", she added.
