Priyanka Chopra’s engagement ring had everyone’s attention as she stepped out with Nick Jonas

Cape Town - Celebrity couple Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra shared a lovely photo from their formal engagement on social media.

Nick and Priyanka had their traditional roka ceremony at her bungalow in Mumbai on Saturday.

Nick arrived here on Thursday night with his parents, mother Denise and father Kevin Jonas Sr in tow. After the ceremony, Nick will return to America along with his parents while Priyanka will continue filming her Bollywood project.

"Taken.with all my heart and soul" she captioned the same photo.

Sharing the same picture where Nick can be seen dressed in the Indian white kurta pyjama, he wrote, "Future Mrs. Jonas".


In the couple's first public acknowledgment of their upcoming nuptials, Chopra posted a photo on Instagram with the caption, "Taken". Priyanka and Nick also attended the engagement of Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta while in India.

Nick went one better and commented on Priyanka's post describing himself as 'the luckiest guy in the world.' Several celebrities - Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Hrithik Roshan, Varun Dhawan, Preity Zinta and others - congratulated the couple on social media. I love you both and wish you all the happiness forever! It is said that the couple had hosted a pre-engagement party for their family.

A photograph shared on actress Raveena Tandon's Instagram page, has kept the buzz going about the ring, which as per The Hollywood Reporter, could be a five carat diamond with a quality with a price tag of around $300,000.

'Priyanka wants everything to be traditional to respect her family's values, and definitely an Indian wedding. As for who makes it to the guest-list, only close friends of Priyanka are invited.

The pair performed a series of rituals during their roka, which is usually followed by a thaka ceremony and finally the big wedding.
