Michael Moore: Trump is the 'Last President of the United States'

Fahrenheit 11/9 trailer

The trailer shows Moore filming neo-Nazi rallies first hand, interviewing David Hogg - a survivor of the Parkland school shooting, and spraying the governor of Michigan's house with contaminated water from his hometown of Flint.

Documentary fans have known that Michael Moore's documentaries are not to be missed, ever since the days of the Oscar-winning Bowling For Columbine.

Michael Moore is giving an early peek at his upcoming Fahrenheit 11/9 with a trailer (see it below).

HuffPost also premiered a trailer for Fahrenheit 11/9, which drops on September 21. Speaking with HuffPost, Moore described the motives behind his new film.

In the trailer, Moore also hoses down Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder's lawn with water he says is from Flint, a city that made headlines for the unsafe amounts of lead in its water sources. The old guard of the Democratic party has failed to speak to them.

Fahrenheit 9/11 remains the highest grossing documentary of all time, making $22m worldwide.

Many of Moore's prior movies caused a stir, but that was before the omnipresence of social media, Since we're all constantly drowning in the never-ending news cycle of Trump's latest idiotic statement or decision, I'm not sure how effective this film can be. It was originally set to be released with the Weinstein Company before Harvey Weinstein was hit with multiple allegations of sexual assault. Hope leads people to believe that tax returns, or a pee tape, or the Federal Bureau of Investigation or an adult film star will save the country.

That last part seems like a naive statement, and unless Moore is hiding some bombshell reveal in his movie, I feel like this film isn't going to have much of an impact on the national conversation. "Hope gives you permission to let someone else do the work. Hope, and the passivity that comes with it, is what helped get us here to begin with".
