Nokia 6.1 gets a huge price cut in India: Price and offers

Nokia 9 announcement teased for August 21

Well, the wait for that might nearly be over, as Nokia Mobile itself has teased that a new phone is coming on Tuesday, August 21 - and it sounds a lot like a flagship. Nokia 6.1 Plus is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, which is expandable up to 400GB via a microSD card slot. As spotted by NPU, the Nokia 6.1 Plus global variants with model number TA-1116, TA-1103 and TA-1083 have appeared on both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi certifications.

Now the company has chose to cut down the price of both the Nokia 6.1 variants by Rs 1,500. HMD Global has already started selling the units at a discounted price, through its official website in India. Despite low buzz around it, this is one of the best phones you can buy in the market, especially at a price point of around Rs 15,000, and particularly if you are buying the phone offline. Launched in India in April, the Nokia 6.1 was globally unveiled at MWC 2018 in February, but had first been launched in China in January. Moreover, you can also buy the smartphone on no-cost EMI options, and also get free Airtel TV till 31 December 2018. Apart from this, there is 12-month accidental damage insurance by Servify and flat 25 per cent instant discount on MakeMyTrip. This is for the 3GB RAM variant. It features a 5.8-inch Full HD+ display with 2280 x 1080 pixels screen resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is claimed to be a penta-lens design in a circular module on the rear, with a dual-lens camera on the front for selfies duty.

The Nokia 6.1 is an Android One device, which clearly means that it runs a stock version of Android OS. For the front, there is an 8-megapixel camera with a 1.12um sensor and f/2.0 aperture.
