Pep Guardiola hits back at Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp's 'Rocky Balboa' jibe

Klopp, who took over at Liverpool job in 2015 after guiding Borussia Dortmund to two Bundesliga titles, says he expects his players to fight to the last breath for the league title.

Michael Owen predicted where his former club Liverpool will finish n the Premier League this season, when writing a blog for BETVICTOR, suggesting that Jürgen Klopp's side will be Manchester City's closest challengers come what May.

"I'm sure we'll still have a pretty fantastic football team on the pitch, but I'll have to make a few decisions".


Speaking at his press conference, the manager confirmed that Dejan Lovren will not feature due to his late return after he helped Croatia reach the World Cup final, whilst Ragnar Klavan has also been ruled out with injury.

"The scan was clear, I heard you all know he had a scan so maybe at one point we can change that as well", Klopp said. They are all in different shape.

"But Dejan will not be available for the weekend". Trent, a bit longer in, which is good; [Henderson] in and full of power, but not too long in - three or four days - but it's Hendo so you always think about him.

"Ragnar, no real chance, he didn't train".

"We saw it with Manchester City last season".
