‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ unrolls longer look at gameplay

Rockstar released a trailer featuring only in-game action on a Playstation 4 Pro, and it looks nothing short of attractive.

Not only this gameplay trailer guides you through the game's story and characters, it also gives an idea of the world and scope of the world.

That said, it has been eight years since Red Dead Redemption hit and awed in 2010.

Camps are a major part of the Red Dead Redemption 2 gameplay.

"In Red Dead Redemption 2, you play as Arthur Morgan - a trusted senior gun in the Van der Linde gang, a band of outlaws and outcasts on the run from the pressures of civilised life". Obviously, Jack Marston was seen in the first Redemption as a teenager, L.A. Noire featured a young teenage girl, and Bully was a T-rated game focused on children but you could only fist fight them, not kill them.

We originally found out that the entirety of the Red Dead Redemption 2 gameplay video that was released yesterday was recorded on a PlayStation 4 Pro console system via a tweet from Sony and mention on the PlayStation Blog, however we were left to assume that this meant Xbox One X support aswell. They want to maintain both a sense of goal, but also a realism that the world is affected, but does not revolve around the player. Morgan can greet passing riders in friendly or belligerent ways; square-up to local tough guys and cool down an angry sheriff with an itchy trigger-finger.

It comes in at just over six minutes, and serves up a good look at some the environmental elements that Rockstar has been working on for this highly-anticipated title. Judging from the video, horses will have different skill sets and uses.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 26.
