"Samsung Unveils its Latest 6.4" Galaxy Note 9 Flagship Smartphone

Samsung Galaxy Home a Bixby-powered smart speaker is on the way

Straight out of the box the first thing that grabs you about the Samsung Galaxy Watch is that, more than ever before, this smartwatch looks like a real watch.

Well, the same can not be said of the Galaxy Note 9. If you want the spiffing 512GB version, that'll be £1099.

People with the Galaxy Note9 will also be able to get the game that way, but the phone doesn't arrive until August 24. Right along from the USB-C charging port and the old school 3.5mm headphone jack.

We're looking forward to spending more time with the Samsung Galaxy Watch over the coming week, so be sure to check back in to T3.com for our full review. You can use it to jot doodles or notes on the screen without even turning the display on - then have the option to save it later.

It works as more than just a stylus too.

Samsung launched the Note 9 at 11 a.m.in NY on Thursday, or Friday midnight in Seoul.

The new Samsung Galaxy Note9 shares a lot of qualities with the new Galaxy Tab 4. And yet despite all of that, and despite everything else we've mentioned, there's one annoying way that the new Galaxy Note 9 is worse than last year's Galaxy Note 8.

Players will be granted access in waves to Fortnite Battle Royale, and will be sent instructions on how to download and play!

Other new camera features include Scene Optimiser which uses intelligence to identify elements of a photo, such as scene and subject, to automatically classify it into one of 20 categories and instantly optimise it based on the category. It is good to see the rear camera with telephoto/wide lenses have even wider apertures and dual OIS. The idea is it'll take better pictures in low light environments.

An industry source said the new Note would be priced similarly to its predecessor Note 8, which sold at around $950. However, it falls just short of an instabuy, and especially so if you have the Gear S3 or Gear Sport.

Samusng uneils the Galaxy Note 9 during an Unpacked event at the Barclays Center in New York City on August 9, 2018.

Samsung is counting on its latest device to lead the charge during the crucial holiday season and revitalise a mobile division where profits nearly halved last quarter. With one click of a button on the side of the stylus, you can, for example, snap selfies without having to contort your fingers to reach the control on the phone's screen.

Although there are only minor changes on the outside there's plenty going on under the hood to make this a decent successor to the Galaxy Note 8.
