See the Disney princesses lounge around in sweats

Gal Gadot Joins Voice Cast of Ralph Breaks the Internet

Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot has joined the voice cast of Disney's Ralph Breaks the Internet, its sequel to Wreck-It Ralph. "It didn't really cross my mind that I'm a Disney princess - like, that I'm canon - until we all met this year, and I got a little choked up", she admits.

The Princesses' involvement is a natural progression from the first film according to Co-Director Phil Johnston. Shank comes in contact with Ralph and Vanellope, voiced by John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman respectively, when the duo are looking for a replacement steering wheel for Vanellope's own racing auto in her game Sugar Rush.

Ralph and Vanellope encounter Shank and her unusual cohorts when they venture to the internet in search of a replacement part for Vanellope's game, Sugar Rush.

"She is the coolest character in this world of Slaughter Race", he said.

Said Gadot, "Shank is incredible at driving cars and has this bad-girl vibe to her". "Shank's lived a lot, she's seen a lot, yet she's got nothing but kindness in her heart-that's the duality of that character". If Ralph is Vanellope's big-brother figure, we wanted a big-sister figure. Surely she'll have plenty to teach Vanellope von Schweetz about being a tough, badass racer. "I don't want to say just blatant sexism, but the kind of dated, antiquated idea of princesses and bringing it up to a feminist - meaning equal - code".

This fall, Disney's Wreck-It Ralph is going online in Ralph Breaks the Internet.

Ralph Breaks the Internet - which also stars John C. Reilly (never forget that Dr. Steve Brule/Dewey Cox is the "face" of a Disney franchise), Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch, Taraji P. Henson, and Alan Tudyk - opens on November 21.
