Sony unveils translucent PS4 Pro 500 Million Limited Edition to celebrate sales

The now household name is celebrating the milestone of 500 million consoles sold worldwide with the release of a gorgeous new PlayStation Pro. "Here's to the next 500 million adventures, epic moments and memories made with friends and family".

The 500 Million Limited Edition PS4 Pro sports a gorgeous translucent shell giving it a cool blue tint. Gadgets 360 has requested the company for comment and will update this story if we hear from it.

You'll also be able to get the 500 Million Limited Edition DualShock 4 controller by itself for $65, a much cheaper way to celebrate.

Usually, Sony India has been exceptionally proactive with bringing PS4 bundles and accessories to India and this should make it as well. The console will be on sale from August 24 and will cost $500. This particular variant, which is created to celebrate PlayStation's achievement of reaching 525.3 million units of hardware worldwide, comes with translucent body. (The PlayStation logo also appear in copper on the system.) On the plate is your console's specific limited edition serial number on it, so you know which of the 50,000 units it is.

"Extra Special" serial numbers like 09995, which is the USA launch date of the original PS, will be available. The limited edition DualShock 4 controller will be available to purchase separately on the same day. Check with your local retailers to see if they will carry the system.

The limited edition DualShock and Gold Wireless Headset will be available in select quantities at North American retail in September.
