For more information about Nintendo Switch Online, please visit the official Nintendo Switch Online website.

Nintendo Switch owners will not be automatically charged when the service launches in the second half of September. That means we're likely around six weeks out from launch at the point, but until we get a specific release date, that's all just speculation.

The wait was long for Nintendo Switch Online but its nearly here after numerous delays.

The paid online service will allow us to continue using online services, will introduce save data cloud backups (YAY) and will also give us 20 NES titles with online play. So far Ice Climber, The Legend of Zelda, Balloon Fight, Soccer, Tennis, Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros., Dr. Mario, Super Mario Bros.

While we don't have an exact date for the launch, Nintendo has narrowed the window down to the second half of September.

Once Nintendo Switch Online releases, you'll need a subscription to play your Switch games online. The service costs $3.99 per month, $7.99 for three months, and $19.99 for a year. Family memberships for up to eight accounts will be available only for the 12-month subscription option for $34.99.
