Trump Pats Himself On The Back For Yanking Brennan's Security Clearance

Brennan has repeatedly clashed with Trump on Twitter and on television, calling Trump's failure to denounce Russian interference in US elections at a recent summit with Vladimir Putin "nothing short of treasonous".

The president's comments were a swift departure from the official explanation given by the White House earlier Wednesday that cited the "the risks" posed by Brennan's supposed "erratic conduct and behavior".

Mr. Trump dismissed claims he was silencing Mr. Brennan, and said his move was about the integrity of security clearances. If it's based on intelligence Brennan has seen since leaving the CIA, Burr says that's an intelligence breach.

Democrats accused the president of trying to punish his critics. Few Americans have done more to protect this country than John.

He said he was fine with giving Brennan a bigger voice because he enjoyed tackling with critics.

Trump made the remarks outside the White House on Friday, just two days after he revoked the security clearance for former CIA Director John Brennan.

Later Thursday, the retired Navy admiral who oversaw the raid that killed Osama bin Laden called Trump's moves "McCarthy-era tactics". Legal experts said the dispute may add to the evidence being reviewed by special counsel Robert Mueller. He said the only question now is whether the collusion that took place "constituted criminally liable conspiracy".

President Donald Trump is linking his decision to revoke the security clearance of former CIA Director John Brennan to the special counsel's investigation into Russian Federation election meddling and possible ties to the Trump campaign.

"The remedy, therefore, is to replace as many Republicans as possible in November and then vote Trump out in 2020", she wrote.

Eventually, Hemmer brought up the Trump-world talking point that Brennan was responsible for the secret investigations into the Trump campaign in 2016. I think Bruce Ohr is a disgrace with his wife Nellie.

A group of top former officials who served under both Republican and Democratic administrations called the revocation of Brennan's security clearance "unprecedented".

Special Counsel Robert Mueller departs after briefing members of the U.S. Senate on his investigation into potential collusion between Russian Federation and the Trump campaign on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, U.S., June 21, 2017. He told the Journal he doesn't trust "many of those people on that list" and thinks they aren't "good people".
