Four-camera Samsung Galaxy A9 tipped for A Galaxy Event launch

Unveiling of Apple's latest iPhone

The invitations are pretty sparse on detail.

Samsung has scheduled an event in Malaysia on October 11, where the company is expected to launch a new smartphone under its Galaxy lineup. Will it be part of the flagship Galaxy S series, or is Samsung bringing big camera features to one of its mid-range lines? There's been other rumours and speculation to support this, such as notable Samsung leaker @UniverseIce tweeting "Samsung Camera Camera Camera Camera" earlier this month.

The word "capture" in the invite also suggests it's camera related.

Samsung has already confirmed it's set to announce its first foldable phone (codenamed the Galaxy X) before the end of the year, but now we expect that to come in November.

We'll likely hear more updates about the upcoming Galaxy phone as the scheduled date looms near. Exactly what each of them will do remains to be seen. Today Samsung sent out press invites to a 4x Fun event. From the phrasing it sounds like the fun has a lot to do with cameras and imaging. I don't know, the number of colours that the Galaxy S10 is available in. According to the latest report, the premium variant of the handset will be equipped with the five camera setup.
