Tropical Storm Isaac reforms, remains unpredictable

A number of hurricane and tropical storm watches have been issued for Tropical Storm Isaac

It was moving to the west at 16 miles per hour with maximum sustained winds of 35 miles per hour.

Saint Lucia was spared the effects of heavy rainfall associated with Tropical Storm Isaac which was expected to produce 50 mm - 100 mm on the island from September 12 - 14, 2018.

The National Hurricane Center's official forecast shows that if Helene can hold together, it will impact Ireland and the northern United Kingdom by early this upcoming week. As Hurricane Florence traveled across the ocean, its winds basically pile up water that is higher than the ordinary level of the sea.

A Tropical Storm Watch which had been issued for St. Kitts and Nevis, Montserrat, Barbuda and Antigua was also expected to be discontinued by Thursday evening.

The government of the Netherlands has discontinued the Tropical Storm Watch for Saba and St. Eustatius.

Also spinning in the Atlantic are Tropical Storms Helene and Isaac and Subtropical Storm Joyce, while Tropical Depression Olivia and Super Typhoon Mangkhut are making waves in the Pacific.

By early afternoon, its winds had weakened to 75 miles per hour, just barely a hurricane and well below the storm's terrifying Category 4 peak of 140 miles per hour earlier in the week.

As the East Coast prepares to take on Hurricane Florence, the massive storm appears to be flexing its muscles in the Atlantic. "It's possible that the west coast of Wales and Cornwall could get some winds as well, but we will get a clearer picture of what to expect very soon". "This rainfall may cause life-threatening flash floods".

On the forecast track, Isaac will move over the eastern and central Caribbean Sea. Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 175 miles from the center.

Coweta County residents can breathe a brief a small sigh of relief, at least on Thursday morning.

Preparing for the worst, about 9,700 National Guard troops and civilians were deployed with high-water vehicles, helicopters and boats. I love hurricanes. But this one has been an experience for me.
